Ines Kaufmann (b. 1996, Carinthia, Austria) is currently studying at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna in Daniel Richter’s Image/Space Expansion class. Moving between figuration and abstraction, her work combines vibrant color compositions with expressive body language to explore the relationship between the individual and the collective. Her paintings bring together sensuality and mythological notions of nature, while her figures embody contrasts such as vulnerability and strength, tenderness and movement. Through universal gestures and organic forms, Kaufmann creates spaces of connection that reflect humanity’s relationship with nature and one another.
